Live the Real YOU   Leave a comment

Corrupt politicians, rogue capitalists, unethically rich business classes, highly depraved big shots of Tollywood/Bollywood or any other ‘wood’ i.e., the so called heroes (and also comedians), producers and directors and lastly the crooked media, both print and electronic, all these have formed into a strong clique. The democracy is held in hostage by this clique and it never allows anyone from outside to enter it or to grow out of one’s sheer talent or capability. This is the biggest tragedy of Post-Independent India and total travesty of our much hyped democratic values!

Independence has brought more independence to certain sections and turned vast pool of masses still dependent only on these highly influential sections. Economic liberalization has put many souls on cloud nine but there are still many more hapless sections living in perpetual misery, utter chaos and complete darkness and dragging on their wretched existence. Globalization has really changed the face of the globe and contracted and reshaped it into a comfortably tiny village but the adamantine walls built among different sections on the lines of caste, class, language, race, region have become so strong and sturdy that there is going to be more diversity and divergence than unity and convergence. There is more chaos than unity, more pollution and adulteration than purity, more disgruntling and disenchantment than contentment, more disarray and disharmony than peaceful coexistence!

Who have let this sad state of affairs to happen on this otherwise beautiful earth? It’s we, yes we, we all of us have to take responsibility for this sad state of affairs. Utilitarian relationships, excessive reliance on materialism and the unbridled greed are at the core of factors that have led these ugly conditions to pass on us and going to be passed on our next generations. The new found educational, employment and sociopolitical opportunities in/due to the post-liberalization economic boom have indeed made our lives so ecstatic and tension free and allowed us to move up the social ladder with comparatively much ease and less effort but the sad thing is, we have deliberately forgotten our roots and basking in the glory of the new found heights where we have placed ourselves so safely and from there we never dare what’s going on down at the bottom and never care for those because of whom we have got to climb such greater heights!

Dear friends,
let’s always remember we didn’t bring anything and won’t take anything with us, and in between we are living in a ‘fools’ paradise’ thinking we are for eternity and this life is a permanent one. We are amassing huge wealth just to pass it on to our progeny and to their progeny and even to their progeny. We always want to be in high positions and desperate to have name and fame all to ourselves and frantically trying to rub them on to only our children forgetting the basic fact that there is some all pervading, all permeating and all encompassing ‘cosmic influence’ which decides what we are meant to be and what we are destined to be in the vast cosmic phenomena. Just remember all the series of incidents which led to the shaping of the character of ‘Gowthama Buddha’ and how Siddhartha metamorphosed himself into an ascetic.

Only the selfless can see the light and have the clarity in their thoughts, words and deeds and all those who are selfish, egoistic and egotistic can never be one with themselves and they can never even identify with anyone/anything else in the universe. They are surrounded by thick layers upon layers of darkness, perpetual misery and hopelessness. They are doomed to die a dog’s death!

Let’s all shed the false masks and be real of us and face the reality head on and enjoy being in reality… only that is real joy and real happiness and all others will just be a mere passé!

Enjoy your real life to the fullest and let your children, others’ children and everyone else enjoy their own lives to the fullest. Don’t live other’s life and don’t let others live your life. Never toe other’s lines and never force others to toe your bad lines!Life is good, надпись, цвета, черный фон, 1672x1045

LIFE’S SO BEAUTIFUL, let’s enjoy every bit of it as it unfolds itself 🙂

Et tu, Modi?!   1 comment

His pet slogan is going to boomerang on him now… “Modi ko Hatao, Desh ko Bachao!”, just change of the name and the guard, but no change of the whole corrupt system!!

May be the time we started shouting the slogan, “Modi ko Hatao, Desh ko Bachao!” What sort of a democratic government it is which is hell-bent on turning its own people homeless? Insensitivity and callousness is ruling the roost. It’s a pity that democracy is still a distant reality for the common man! It’s sheer autocracy, plutocracy and oligarchy!! The so called elected government(s) are always losing touch with the common man soon after they ascend to the highest seat(s) of power. They are turning themselves into mere puppets in the hands of the unethically rich business classes, cold-blooded capitalist sections and the obnoxiously rogue elites. One can understand the enormity of the deprivation of a proper political will at the centre and its lack of empathy with the masses especially the poor and innocent Adivasis under the influence of the machiavellian tactics played by an irresponsible and dishonest regional leader, and a giant swindler, CBN,

CBN in new Avatar!, Satan in deceptive pose of the Jesus?!

CBN in new Avatar, Satan imitating Jesus?! Poor lamb, doesn’t know who is holding it!!

quite notorious for his anti-people, anti-farmer, anti-dalit and anti-tribal postures. This hypocrite represents a monstrous and disgustingly rancid system which had got precipitated in post-Independent period and is constantly holding our democratic polity and people’s welfare in hostage! And regretfully, Modi is proving he is also no exception, and a very much part and parcel of this highly depraved system!! All the wolves in sheep’s clothing have started unmasking themselves and are showing their true colours!! Forcefully merging seven Mandals of Khammam District of the state of Telangana with the of state Andhra Pradesh just to submerge them under the big lopsided and unscientifically designed Polavaram Multi Purpose Project without ascertaining the views of the affected parties involved and deliberately overlooking the plight of the huge tribal population who are going to be made mere scapegoats, is a devil’s play being enacted by Modi’s sarkaar in close conjunction with the state of Andhra Pradesh. It’s estimated that nearly half a million Adivasi people will be rendered homeless and will find themselves in a watery grave, and will lose all their livelihoods if the project is given go ahead nod, and most importantly, it will be environmentally hazardous and will drastically destabilize the ecosystem of the region with catastrophic effects! This was vociferously claimed by the former Engineer-in Chief with the Government of Andhra Pradesh & Consultant, United Nations (OPS), Er. T. Hanumantha Rao.

The master planner for a massive destruction of the masses, M. Venkaih Naidu.

The master planner for a massive destruction of the homes and livelihoods of the masses, M. Venkaih Naidu, the Union Minister of Urban Development.

But the rigid and adamant governments both at the centre and in the state of the Andhra Pradesh continue to maintain their foolishly intransigent and intractable positions in spite of strong earnest appeals from every quarter just to change the design of the project as suggested by the civil engineers, environmental scientists and irrigation experts, which will bring a happy end to this exasperatingly the most vexatious crisis with a win-win solution to the two warring groups. By the way, welfare of the people, most importantly, the disadvantaged, disenfranchised and the destitute sections, should be on the top of the policy agenda of any welfare state! It’s a simple logic & logistics of the designing of the policy framework and is based on the principles of natural justice, but the unrelenting state is simply turning its deaf ear to the cries of the poor innocent masses and quite often turning a blind eye to their unending woes inflicted upon them by the bullying sections!! It’s an open secret that India is not being governed by a people’s government, rather by the brutal capitalists whose motto is always to squeeze the country of all its

They shook hands then, and now shaking the poor innocent masses!

A covert understanding for an overt exploitation… they shook hands then, and now shaking the poor innocent masses! No leader how great he/she may be, is immune to the influence of the ‘yellow mafia‘!!

valuable resources and thereby making it powerless and vulnerable and eventually debt ridden and a veritable beggar at the gates of the international lending agencies, which always work to destabilise the nations by weakening their economies just in order to maintaining the ugly status quo of the imperialism and hegemony!! God save India for the next five years! Educate, Organise and Agitate should be the mantra for us now, the most powerful slogan given to us by Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar long ago!!

PEARLS OF WISDOM:

Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man’s life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self.

Cultivation of mind should be the ultimate aim of human existence.

I measure the progress of a community by the degree of progress which women have achieved.

The relationship between husband and wife should be one of closest friends.

A great man is different from an eminent one in that he is ready to be the servant of the society.

Men are mortal. So are ideas. An idea needs propagation as much as a plant needs watering. Otherwise both will wither and die.

I like the religion that teaches liberty, equality and fraternity.

Life should be great rather than long.

Religion must mainly be a matter of principles only. It cannot be a matter of rules. The moment it degenerates into rules, it ceases to be a religion, as it kills responsibility which is an essence of the true religious act.

Men are mortal. So are ideas. An idea needs propagation as much as a plant needs watering. Otherwise both will wither and die.

So long as you do not achieve social liberty, whatever freedom is provided by the law is of no avail to you.

Indians today are governed by two different ideologies. Their political ideal set in the preamble of the Constitution affirms a life of liberty, equality and fraternity. Their social ideal embodied in their religion denies them.

The sovereignty of scriptures of all religions must come to an end if we want to have a united integrated modern India.

Every man who repeats the dogma of Mill that one country is no fit to rule another country must admit that one class is not fit to rule another class.

Law and order are the medicine of the body politic and when the body politic gets sick, medicine must be administered.

Political tyranny is nothing compared to the social tyranny and a reformer who defies society is a more courageous man than a politician who defies Government.

My final words of advice to you is- Educate, Agitate, Organize- have faith in yourself. With justice on our side, I don’t see how we can lose our battle. The battle to me is a matter of joy. The battle is in the fullest sense spiritual. There is nothing material or social in it. For ours is a battle not for wealth, or for power. It is a battle for freedom. It is a battle for the reclamation of the human personality.

We are Indians, firstly and lastly.

–      Dr. BR Ambedkar

Strong advocate of human rights and women’s rights, visionary thinker and philosopher, messiah of the downtrodden and oppressed sections and the world renowned legal luminary and constitutional expert, Babasaheb Dr. BR Ambedkar, the father figure for the majority of the Indians who are proud of the towering giant of the Indian politics and the greatest social reformer.

India would have been much more fragmented than what it is now and there would be more chaos had there not been constant earnest attempts put forth by the leader of the masses against all odds to set the lopsided things right in order to achieve a balanced and all inclusive society by his strong advocacy of JUSTICE, LIBERTY, EQUALITY and FRATERNITY!

Strongly feeling the need to have him now amidst us to set our polity, political system, administration and judiciary and other law enforcement agencies right!

Happy and enlightening AMBEDKAR JAYANTI!

‘Dominant Caste and Territory in South India’, a Path-breaking Research by Dalel Benbabaali   6 comments

A wonderful research done by Dalel Benbabaali on the theme of caste dominance in the united state of Andhra Pradesh and in Telangana. How the people from the dominant castes of ‘Kamma’ and ‘Reddy’ used their socio-political, economic and cultural hegemony in their social upward mobility in a forceful way, is vividly elucidated by the researcher. A must watch video for all those who want to understand the caste equations in the south Indian state and how caste is used to perpetuate hegemony and imperialism, and the resultant over exploitation.

The researcher also talks about the Telangana issue and how the fledgling state of Telangana was merged with the dominant Andhra state purely on the basis of linguistic homogeneity without paying attention to the high prevalence of social, cultural and economic heterogeneity, and spatial inequality.

Benbabaali makes a graphical presentation on how the dominant (mainly Kamma) castes have controlled the social, political, cultural and economic landscape of the state of Andhra Pradesh by wresting the political power, controlling the media and film & entertainment industry, and business by their lopsided neo-liberal economic policies. She also talks about the genesis of Naxalite movement and the repressive measures adapted by the Kamma dominated governments under late NT Rama Rao and N Chandra Babu Naidu’s regimes.

Hats off to Dalel Benbabaali for the down-to-earth research carried by her and for bringing out groundbreaking realities of a territory long suppressed by caste dominance, socio-cultural hegemony and spatial and economic inequality, onto the international stage.

Here is the link to the highly informative, educative and illuminative presentation by the researcher- Dominant Caste and Territory in South India.

November 1 is the BETRAYAL DAY in the history of Telangana   1 comment

Exactly on this day in the year 1956, the fledgling state of Telangana was cleverly and forcefully merged with the fascist and imperial Andhra state very much against the interests and aspirations of the people of Telangana. Since that very day onwards, the innocent and the most generous people of Telangana have been betrayed, deceived and exploited in the hands of bullying Andhra politicians, capitalists and the rogue elite!

The merger of Telangana with the rogue Andhra state was NOT unconditional, and NOT AT ALL based on total consensus and unanimity!

The formation of the united Andhra Pradesh state was based on specific and well formulated conditions in order to safeguard the interests of the innocent people of Telangana.

NOT A SINGLE CONDITION has been adhered to from THE DAY ONE!

There have been a great number of “Commissions”, “Tribunals”, and “Empowered Groups of Ministers” formed by the Central and State Governments till date to look into the uneven growth and the economic disparity between Telangana and Andhra, because of the lopsided fiscal policies wilfully adopted by the successive governments over the years. The Commissions / Tribunals / GoM’s made several alarming recommendations in order to CORRECT AND COMPENSATE FOR THE BLATANT VIOLATIONS OF THE AGREEMENTS OF THE ACCORD reached at the time of the merger of Telangana with Andhra!

Not a single recommendation has been put to proper concrete action till date!

The Andhra leaders and the government ruled with iron hand and meted out a very raw deal to the people of Telangana since they wield/ed the majority in the United Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly and the Council. The cheap number game had/has shattered the dreams, and devastated the hopes and aspirations of the people of Telangana, and made them perpetually weak politically, economically and socially, and also linguistically and culturally! This is exactly what Dr. Ambedkar had talked about decades ago, “Tyranny of majority over minority”. Hats off to the great visionary, jurist, constitutional expert and the advocate of human rights par excellence! Article 3 of the Constitution of India which is now a big hope for Telangana and for its rescue, is a strong testimony to the profound foresight of the man of letters and wisdom.

The Andhra region got developed at the cost of Telangana, and the Andhra elite, business classes and the farmers thrived while Telangana starved and its farmers committed suicide, and the jobless and the hopeless youth turned to Naxalism / Maoism!

Many students committed suicide unable to bear the grave injustice meted out to their region, and the exploitation of a monumental scale!

Damn with the Andhra Imperialism, Fasism and Capitalism!

Shame on you Andhra Yellow Media Mafia!!

Shame on you Andhra Elite!!!

The feudal elements of Telangana; the imperialists and the capitalists of Andhra; and the factionists of Rayalaseema, pose a grave threat to the unity of Telugu people. All conscientious Telugus must be united and resist the onslaught of the rogues, and save democracy in all the three regions- Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema.

We are paying the price for the loopholes ingrained in our system!   Leave a comment

Horrendous scenes of the Volvo A/c sleeper coach bus (of Jabbar Travels, a private bus operating service) fire accident near Kothakota in Mahabubnagar District in Telangana. The ill fated bus was going from Bangalore to Hyderabad. It caught fire by hitting against a culvert while overtaking a car. This happened in pre-dawn hours of today. The fire totally engulfed the bus and almost all (45 in total, including a small girl child who clung herself to her mother till the final moment. The charred remains of both of them are still inseparable. Many of the dead were in their prime youth looking forward to meet their dear ones and enjoy the festival of lights together!) the passengers (who were in their deep sleep and were dreaming of a bright and colorful Deepavali to be celebrated at home with family and friends) barring a few (7, including the driver and his assistant, who were sitting in the front cabin and jumped out to their safety, leaving those sitting behind them to their ill fate!) charred to death beyond recognition. There was a young man, a budding engineer fresh from his college, in the deceased who got selected for a top notch multinational software company in Bangalore with a very handsome salary, and was going home to share the greatest happiness of his life with his uneducated parents who had been waiting for a new dawn in their dry and dispassionate lives. This is the heavy price we the public are paying for the systemic loopholes in our system. As per some reports, the operators have not renewed the permit for the bus since 2011. Our depraved political system, misgovernance, official apathy, corruption and bribery are the root causes of all our woes. Today it’s they, tomorrow it may be you and me! Time to put some serious thought and action!!
