Where Art Thou My Lord?!   Leave a comment

Prayers, religious rituals and rites, austerities, fasting… all these are of no use unless the mind is tamed and held in proper control. They’re all just the means to an end, the end which is a new beginning of our life, the second birth. We have been clinging ourselves to the means and have forgotten the end long back. One has to discard the means after reaching the goal. Those means can be preserved and passed on to those who lack them or don’t know about them at all. But the sad thing is, all those means to the great end have been held in hostage by some megalomaniac sections of the society. They never reach the goal nor allow anyone to aim for the goal!

God wants us to live in Him and make Him live in ourselves. Then, there arises no need to pray to Him frantically. What’s the need of prayer when the one who prays and the one prayed are one and only? What’s the need of searching for happiness all around when you’re one with the happiness itself? What’s the need for you to be avaricious of gold and diamonds when you yourself are pure gold and an ever luminous diamond?

It’s God’s wish, everyone of us reach that stage where there’s no need for begging Him through intense prayers, rather, He wants us to be the masters of our own selves with His permanent abode firmly established in the core of our hearts. This is the ultimate state where there’s no need to communicate with God with any sound or with the chanting of any sacred mantra or with any prayer resorting to intense austerities. Where’s the need for you to resort to all these when you’re in constant communion with the ever resplendent Lord Almighty? This state is nothing but ‘Advaita’ (Monism or Non-dualism) where there is no need to communicate with Him with any word or sound and no need for searching for Him in any internal or external object. There’s only one sacred sound out of which all the sounds are manifested and there’s only one ‘eternally formless one’, omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent, by / through whom all the forms and shapes are manifested.

Reaching Him and being one with Him is so easy and so simple provided we are simple and not hardened by the external influences. Not become impure by our attachment to the ego, selfishness and other such enemies.

The more outward we go for peace and happiness, the more distressed we end up. The real happiness and peace is just deep inside us. The more you delve deeper, the greater will be your joy, peace and bliss!

Believe me, this is out of my own experience, the more we pray to God to have His grace and blessings, the more distant He goes from us, the more we look for Him, the more obscure He becomes, the more we search for Him either inside or outside, the more He evades us!

He just wants us to own Him, to feel Him as being One with us and to live in Him and let Him live in us forever and ever!

How merciful is the Lord Almighty!!!

God is nothing but Love… You love Him by loving one and all… You get to know Him by knowning yourself… You live in Him by letting Him live in you…!!!

Live the Real YOU   Leave a comment

Corrupt politicians, rogue capitalists, unethically rich business classes, highly depraved big shots of Tollywood/Bollywood or any other ‘wood’ i.e., the so called heroes (and also comedians), producers and directors and lastly the crooked media, both print and electronic, all these have formed into a strong clique. The democracy is held in hostage by this clique and it never allows anyone from outside to enter it or to grow out of one’s sheer talent or capability. This is the biggest tragedy of Post-Independent India and total travesty of our much hyped democratic values!

Independence has brought more independence to certain sections and turned vast pool of masses still dependent only on these highly influential sections. Economic liberalization has put many souls on cloud nine but there are still many more hapless sections living in perpetual misery, utter chaos and complete darkness and dragging on their wretched existence. Globalization has really changed the face of the globe and contracted and reshaped it into a comfortably tiny village but the adamantine walls built among different sections on the lines of caste, class, language, race, region have become so strong and sturdy that there is going to be more diversity and divergence than unity and convergence. There is more chaos than unity, more pollution and adulteration than purity, more disgruntling and disenchantment than contentment, more disarray and disharmony than peaceful coexistence!

Who have let this sad state of affairs to happen on this otherwise beautiful earth? It’s we, yes we, we all of us have to take responsibility for this sad state of affairs. Utilitarian relationships, excessive reliance on materialism and the unbridled greed are at the core of factors that have led these ugly conditions to pass on us and going to be passed on our next generations. The new found educational, employment and sociopolitical opportunities in/due to the post-liberalization economic boom have indeed made our lives so ecstatic and tension free and allowed us to move up the social ladder with comparatively much ease and less effort but the sad thing is, we have deliberately forgotten our roots and basking in the glory of the new found heights where we have placed ourselves so safely and from there we never dare what’s going on down at the bottom and never care for those because of whom we have got to climb such greater heights!

Dear friends,
let’s always remember we didn’t bring anything and won’t take anything with us, and in between we are living in a ‘fools’ paradise’ thinking we are for eternity and this life is a permanent one. We are amassing huge wealth just to pass it on to our progeny and to their progeny and even to their progeny. We always want to be in high positions and desperate to have name and fame all to ourselves and frantically trying to rub them on to only our children forgetting the basic fact that there is some all pervading, all permeating and all encompassing ‘cosmic influence’ which decides what we are meant to be and what we are destined to be in the vast cosmic phenomena. Just remember all the series of incidents which led to the shaping of the character of ‘Gowthama Buddha’ and how Siddhartha metamorphosed himself into an ascetic.

Only the selfless can see the light and have the clarity in their thoughts, words and deeds and all those who are selfish, egoistic and egotistic can never be one with themselves and they can never even identify with anyone/anything else in the universe. They are surrounded by thick layers upon layers of darkness, perpetual misery and hopelessness. They are doomed to die a dog’s death!

Let’s all shed the false masks and be real of us and face the reality head on and enjoy being in reality… only that is real joy and real happiness and all others will just be a mere passé!

Enjoy your real life to the fullest and let your children, others’ children and everyone else enjoy their own lives to the fullest. Don’t live other’s life and don’t let others live your life. Never toe other’s lines and never force others to toe your bad lines!Life is good, надпись, цвета, черный фон, 1672x1045

LIFE’S SO BEAUTIFUL, let’s enjoy every bit of it as it unfolds itself 🙂

The Truth   1 comment

the-truth‘Truth’ is always harsh and bitter, and can be sweet for those who accept it wholeheartedly. There are some fools amidst us who have been taking shelter under ‘falsehood’ for ages in utter disregard to ‘the all mighty truth’. Those hard core morons will definitely have to pay the price sooner or later for their historical blunders of non-compliance with the truth which is eternally supreme and permeates all through the universe going beyond time and keeping a constant watch on all our thoughts, words and deeds.

Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam   Leave a comment

Annam3Please don’t waste food. Wasting food is the biggest sacrilege on the earth. “Annam Parabrahma Swaroopam” (food is equated with the LORD ALMIGHTY). Sharing is expansion and hiding is contraction. Expansion is life and contraction is death. We have to live the life which is full of love, affection and compassion. God loves those who help the needy and feed the starving. It’s a sin taking excess food when our fellow companions on this journey earth are dying of/for food. Pure love reflects in sharing and that love is God/ddess Himself/Herself. We have to spread love by sharing food among the hungry and starving as love can never be hoarded. The more we spread our love the more expanded will be our consciousness; and the lesser we spread our love the more limited, restricted and narrower would be our consciousness, and that which leads us to decay and death sooner or later. We all are doomed to die sometime or later. No one on this earth has come with a permanent visa to live and stay here longer. So there is no point in hoarding anything in excess.

Food is God; God is love; spread love by sharing food; God will reward you with more as you give more. It’s a cosmic law and time tested truth.

There is so much beauty in sharing. Life’s beautiful when it’s caring for others.

Lord, make me a channel of thy peace;
that where there is hatred, I may bring love;
that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness;
that where there is discord, I may bring harmony;
that where there is error, I may bring truth;
that where there is doubt, I may bring faith;
that where there is despair, I may bring hope;
that where there are shadows, I may bring light;
that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted;
to understand, than to be understood; to love, than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.
Amen.

Baha’i Prayer for Peace

Be generous in prosperity,
and thankful in adversity.
Be fair in thy judgement,
and guarded in thy speech.
Be a lamp unto those who walk in darkness,
and a home to the stranger.
Be eyes to the blind,
and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring.
Be a breath of life to the body of humankind,
a dew to the soil of the human heart,
and a fruit upon the tree of humility.

Buddhist Prayer for Peace

May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind
quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid,
and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless, fearful wildernesses – the children, the aged, the unprotected – be guarded by beneficent celestials,
and may they swiftly attain Buddhahood.

Christian Prayer for Peace

Blessed are the Peacemakers,
for they shall be known as the Children of God.
But I say to you that hear, love your enemies,
do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you,
pray for those who abuse you.
To those who strike you on the cheek, offer the other also,
and from those who take away your cloak, do not withhold your coat as well.
Give to everyone who begs from you,
and of those who take away your goods, do not ask them again.
And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them.

Hindu Prayers for Peace

Oh God, lead us from the unreal to the Real.
Oh God, lead us from darkness to light.
Oh God, lead us from death to immortality.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti unto all.
Oh Lord God almighty, may there be peace in celestial regions.
May there be peace on earth.
May the waters be appeasing.
May herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all.
May all beneficent beings bring peace to us.
May thy Vedic Law propagate peace all through the world.
May all things be a source of peace to us.
And may thy peace itself, bestow peace on all,
and may that peace come to me also.

Native African Prayer for Peace

Almighty God, the Great Thumb we cannot evade to tie any knot;
the Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees;
the all-seeing Lord up on high who sees even the footprints of an antelope on a rockmass here on Earth.
You are the one who does not hesitate to respond to our call.
You are the cornerstone of peace.

Native American Prayer for Peace

O Great Spirit of our Ancestors, I raise my pipe to you.
To your messengers the four winds,
and to Mother Earth who provides for your children.
Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love, to respect,
and to be kind to each other so that they may grow with peace in mind.
Let us learn to share all the good things you provide for us on this Earth.

Shinto Prayer for Peace

Although the people living across the ocean surrounding us,
I believe, are all our brothers and sisters,
why are there constant troubles in this world?
Why do winds and waves rise in the ocean surrounding us?
I only earnestly wish that the wind will soon puff away
all the clouds which are hanging over the tops of the mountains.

Sikh Prayers for Peace

God adjudges us according to our deeds,
not the coat that we wear;
that Truth is above everything,
but higher still is truthful living.
Know that we attaineth God when we loveth,
and only that victory endures in consequence of which no one is defeated.

Sufi Prayer for Peace

O Almighty Sun, whose light clears away all clouds,
We take refuge in you.
Guide of all people, God of all deities,
Lord of all angels,
We pray you to dispel the mists of illusion from the hearts of the nations
And lift their lives by your all-sufficient power,
Your ever shining light, your everlasting life,
Your heavenly joy, and your perfect peace.

Tibetan Buddhist Prayer

May you be at peace,
May your heart remain open.
May you awaken to the light of your own true nature.
May you be healed,
May you be a source of healing for all beings.

Zoroastrian Prayer for Peace

We pray to God to eradicate all the misery in the world;
that understanding triumph over ignorance,
that generosity triumph over indifference,
that trust triumph over contempt,
and that truth triumph over falsehood.
